Some have asked for a way to get the data out of the website. I wrote a simple PHP script to handle this. It will output two formats right now, csv and html. I will add support to specify fields as well in the future, right now you get everything. For more details see:

I have now included flash terminal as an attribute of the bbs listing. This is a great idea that i recently found on the wed. Have a look here:
http://backwater.servebbs.com/flashterm/
This will connect you to my bbs via a flash telnet client! I am hopeing to work with the developer to support petscii soon! Here is the website for flash term:
http://flashterm.com/
If you need help setting your bbs up with flashterm let me know. I would also like to offer space on my web server for each bbs to host a home page for there bbs as well as the flashterm client for there bbs.
Let me know and i will hook you up!

So i found a newer (made in 2004) scsi drive form a server. It was a 9 gig drive that ran at 7200 rpm. I thought I would try it out and see what happened putting in the CMD HD 20 case. Turns out the LLformate was flawless and the creatsys went with out a hitch. Turns out the v2.52 boot rom i have in the CMD HD 20 case along with the hd dos 1.80 it can see 600 MB of the 9GB disk. That is great for me! Went from 20 MB to 600 MB WOOT!

I just finished installing reCATPTCHA (http://recaptcha.net) on all forms in the site. This will reduce the spam the site has been getting and add another layer of security. Let me know if you think it is annoying.

So I went through the bbs list tonight and check each one to see if it was still up. I enned up removing 4 bbs’s from the list. Some of them where the old boards that you never thought would go off line. Take a look at the listing and let me know what you think. If anyone has any thoughts or information, like changes address let me know.

Chameleon just mailed me a disk full of CSD demos he has coded over the years. He also just released a new 2008 demo that was also included. I have placed them on my BBS (backwater.servebbs.com) in the demo section of the downloads area. To find them enter UD at the main prompt, then sig 2, then section 7 for demos.
Thanks to Chameleon for coding and sending them out!

Ok… like the title says! Admittedly, it’s biased towards Image BBS, but who’s to say we can’t cull knowledge from CNet, Color64, EBBS, or whoever else wants to chime in? It’s appreciated, anyone who wants to pitch in will be rewarded knowing they’ve helped fulfil one of my dreams. Okay, so it’s a small dream.

So I had an idea to add a commodore FTP list to the site. This will give the commodore community a place to share and distribute information about known FTP sites for commodore software. Anyone could add, or edit an entry, making it a collaborative effort amongst the community, just like the BBS list. What are your thoughts?

I just finished setting up a new service associated with the BBS list. You can sign up to be emailed when changes are made to the list. You can choose to be notified the same day changes are made or on a weekly basis, but emails will only be sent if changes are made, so if nothing changes, no emails. Sign up and give it a try, you can also remove your email anytime you want!
Click the link above or visit the BBS list page to sign up!

So I was thinking about this website, image outpost, I think I will be changing it to a more generic site that focuses on all Commodore BBS’s not just Image. This will be more useful to the community as Image is to much of a niche.
Does anyone have any ideas for a new name for the site?
